Sealing caps, also known as sealing or blind plugs, are fitted into the bore holes of housings where there are no axles, and are also used to seal service openings. Standard blanking plugs are manufactured in accordance with DIN 3760 and ISO 6194/1 for radial oil seals. The advantages of using this type of seals are excellent static sealing, good compensation of temperature ranges, protection against external influences and foreign bodies, good tightness even with poorly machined mounting points and the possibility of use in split housings.
